How to get to the Bollington Festival

 

Road

Bollington Festival is located off the A523 about 4 miles from Macclesfield. Enter the Postcode SK10 5JT into your SatNav or directions finder for the main Festival site

Where to park

During the Festival, limited parking is available at Adelphi Mill from 6pm until 11pm weekdays and all day weekends.

Adelphi Mill is located at SK10 5JB – about 10 minutes’ walk from the Festival Marquee.

Train & Bus

Macclesfield Train Station is located a 15-minute taxi ride from Bollington.

Taxis are also available from outside the train station

The No. 10 and No. 391 bus services run between the Macclesfield Bus Station & Bollington but not in the evening. Please check bus timetables at:

Booking tickets

Tickets can be booked online.

Tickets for events at the festival will be sent via email, they will not be posted out. Please make sure you check your email address is correct when you place your order and check your spam/junk folder for the email form us.

You should receive an email with your ticket(s) the same day they are booked. If you have any difficulty, please contact info@bollingtonfestival.org.uk

Accessibility

During the Festival, parking is available for blue badge holders at the cricket pavilion at the end of Bollington Recreation Ground

The Recreation Ground and Arts Centre are wheelchair accessible.

Yes, the 10 bus service from Macclesfield Bus Station stops outside the Festival site – see bustimes.org. Alight at the aqueduct stop.

Yes, there is a track way from the “Blue Badge” parking area into the Marquee where there is provision for wheelchairs and mobility scooters

Are there cash machines on site

No the nearest cash machines are outside the Coop in the centre of Bollington about 5 minutes walk from the Festival site or from the convienience store on Palmerston Street.

If I loose something at an event what should I do?

Any property that is found on site will be stored in the Site Office and available for collection prior to every performance.

Are BBQ's allowed?

No, BBQ’s are not allowed on the Recreation ground.

Is there accommodation near to the Festival site?

Yes, there is plenty of accommodation available in the local area, most of the major hotel chains have a presence in the area. For further information please go to

Events & Venues

Can I buy tickets on the day?

Yes, tickets for non-sell-out performances will be available from the box office on site. To avoid disappointment as many performances are likely to be sold out its would be far better to buy your tickets in advance from the Festival website: bollingtonfestival.org.uk

Can I leave the venue during performances?

On presentation of your ticket you will be given a wristband which will allow you exit and return to the venue during the actual performance. To minimise disruption to other guests we ask if you could keep this to a minimum

Can I bring my own seating?

Deckchairs, camping chairs and mobile seating are allowed on the Recreation ground.

Where can I buy a ticket for any of the Festival Events?

All tickets are available from the Festival Website: bollingtonfestival.org.uk

Will there be toilets near or at the venues?

Yes, regularly cleaned portable toilets will be located on the Recreation Ground adjacent to the covered stage.
